– Founded in Burton in 1990
– Founded by various consultancy companies through its sister association, ARCA
– Consultancies required a trade association voice of their own

Structure:
– Head office in Burton, training center in Rayleigh
– Access to various other training centers across the UK

Staff:
– Ian Stone CCP ran the association until 2013
– Andrew Jackson is the current Chairman of ATAC
– Ian Stone left ATAC after 3 years
– Ian Stone now a Director of Acorn Analytical Services

Functions:
– ATAC raises awareness about asbestos issues
– Campaigns like Asbestos In Schools
– Part of a parliamentary steering group
– Works with HSE and UKAS to improve industry standards
– 70 member companies across the UK
