Corrugation today:

– Thickness ranges from 30 gauge to 6 gauge
– Other materials like thermoplastic and fiberglass also corrugated

Pitch and depth:
– Described by pitch (distance between crests) and depth (height from crest top to trough bottom)
– Uniform pitch and depth aid in transport and sheet joining
– Common pitch of 3 inches for most CGI
– Design variations like Proster 21 with 21mm deep V-shaped pits

Corrosion:
– Galvanizing helps inhibit steel corrosion
– Rusting inevitable, especially in marine and acidic rainfall areas
– Corroded sheets can last long with paint protection
